Every act of a Muslim is abadat and is prepration for life after death , being a Muslim is 24x7x365 job and your reward is paid 24x7x365 and this is the reward you will use in the life after death. This is only currency Allah will accept on that day. If all your acts during a given day are in the framework given by Islam then you are preparing for the life after death very successfully.
You might ask what about eating ,sleeping , job ? Yes they are abadat if you eating halal this kind of eating is abadat, sleeping is abadat if you going to bed thinking about Allah and about doing good the next day. Your job is abadat if you are working hard to earn rizq a halal.
